What are they and what is the difference?

TED

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’. It started in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.

TEDx

Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.

 TEDxYouth@Flanders

TEDxYouth@Flanders is aimed at kids aged from 11 to 15. The event is a mix of inspiring talks and hands-on workshops. The event is usually a mix of English and Dutch. For example, the speakers normally talk in their native language.  For the workshops we either aim to have them run twice, once in English and once in Dutch, or have an assistant available to translate for the presenter.
